DUBAI — April 20, 2025: It’s that time of year again — mango season has officially arrived in Dubai, and fruit lovers are flocking to the Waterfront Market in Deira to indulge in the “king of fruits.” With over 20 varieties of mangoes now available from India, Pakistan, Yemen, Thailand, Peru, Colombia, and beyond, the fruit section has turned into a vibrant mango wonderland.
Prices start as low as Dh10 per kg, with options for every palate — from sweet and syrupy to tangy and fibrous, making mango shopping in Dubai a seasonal experience steeped in nostalgia, taste, and tradition.
Waterfront Market Buzzes with Mango EnthusiastsFor many Dubai residents, summer is synonymous with mangoes. Farah Khan, a business owner from Deira, shared how her family eagerly awaits this season.
“My children love the fruit in all forms — sliced, juiced, or in milkshakes. My husband eats it with salt and chilli powder. It’s full-on mango madness at home,” she said.
Sales executive Mohammed Aashiq, a regular at the market, echoed the sentiment:
Variety & Pricing: Mangoes from Around the World“The only fruit I truly love is mango. We had farms back home, and coming here reminds me of those days. Here, you can smell and touch before buying — that’s something supermarkets can’t match.”

Vendors Expect Prices to Drop SoonWhile exotic and rare mangoes are slightly expensive now, vendors assure that prices will gradually decrease as supply increases over the next few weeks.
“We see families who visit only during mango season, and they buy boxes, not kilos,” said Wazed Ali, a long-time vendor.
“For most of our customers, mango is more than a fruit — it’s a memory of home,” added fellow seller Muhammed Najeeb.
With more varieties expected to arrive in the coming weeks, now is the perfect time to start your mango season shopping — whether you’re stocking up for family feasts, smoothies, or just to relive your childhood summers.
