Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were good friends with David and Victoria Beckham but David was spotted with Prince William at a royal engagement -- while Harry too was in the UK for a charity event. But Beckham was not seen with Harry. The relationship between the two power couples has definitely soured and there are many factors behind it. Royal expert Richard Eden said David and Victoria did not like how Harry and Meghan targeted the Royal Family as David and Victoria are very family-oriented and family is everything to them.
The past clashes between Meghan and Victoria were exposed by royal author Tom Bower in The House of Beckhams where he wrote that before Meghan's wedding she reached out to Victoria for advice of best facials and hairdresser in London. But the story was leaked to the UK Sun. Since Meghan did not leak it to the press, it was presumably Victoria and Harry was asked to complain to David. The Beckhams denied any leak but Harry and Meghan became distrustful of them. So the cracks started from the time Meghan and Harry got married but now it seems that their friendship is completely over.
Eden wrote from DailyMail that David and Victoria invited to Harry and Meghan's wedding but not to the evening reception which was seen as a snub. But despite that, David agreed to Harry's request to fly to Australia for the Invictus Games. But there Harry had no time for David -- not even for a picture.
"Both David and Victoria put great importance on family and would never, ever turn on their relations the way that Harry and Meghan did," Eden wrote citing one of their associates. "The truth is that Victoria never really liked Meghan much. She was friendly and welcoming to her but is not bothered about staying in touch."
