The jail administration came to know about this during the morning count, he added. A resident of Kathikund in Dumka district , Shyamlal had eight criminal cases against him. He was transferred to Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan Central Jail - an open prison spread over 50 acres and meant for surrendered extremists - from Dumka jail in February 2021.
