New Delhi: Railways has beefed up security of Sangaldan-Baramulla section rail line in Kashmir. Officials said the security arrangement of all railway networks in J&K, and particularly of the Jammu to Srinagar section, which is yet to be opened, will be reviewed to take necessary measures.
At present, the 183km Sangaldan-Baramulla section is operational and railways operates 22 trains across the Valley, connecting key stations like Baramulla, Srinagar and Banihal. "We have taken necessary steps for safety and security of assets and passengers in Kashmir. The security need of the remaining stretch will be reviewed and measures will be taken," said a railway official. tnn
