Manipur sub-inspector shot dead by constable

NEW DELHI: In Manipur 's Jiribam district, a sub-inspector was shot dead by a constable on Saturday, according to police officials.

The incident occurred in the Mongbung area, where sub-inspector Shah Jahan was reportedly shot at point-blank range by Constable Bikramjit.

Preliminary investigations reveal that Shah Jahan and Bikramjit had a verbal altercation earlier that day. "An investigation is on," an officer stated. The constable has since been arrested.
