BENGALURU: Karnataka law and parliamentary affairs minister HK Patil urged the EC Saturday to address the allegations of voter list manipulation instead of offering excuses.
He said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi 's claims, supported by documents and scientific analysis, should be treated as a suo motu complaint.
Patil said that as a constitutional body , EC must act with transparency and urgency. "Lame excuses of procedural red tape, like demanding affidavits, should not be used to shirk its fundamental responsibility to safeguard democracy and sanctity of elections." tnn
