World Health Day: Ram Kapoor urges people to quit their obsession with 'just losing weight' amid Ekta Kapoor's Ozempic dig

Actor Ram Kapoor, known for hit TV shows like ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’ and ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain,’ as well as films such as ‘Humshakals’ and ‘Student of the Year,’ has stunned fans with his major body transformation. The actor lost around 55 kilos, looking fitter, more energetic, and healthier than ever.

Ram, who has always been a beloved face on television and in films, is now using his platform to send out a powerful message. On World Health Day, he urged people to stop focusing only on weight loss and instead think about their overall health.

“Why do you want to lose weight?” – Ram gets real
In a chat with Hindustan Times, Ram opened up about the struggles he faced in the past when he focused only on shedding kilos. He revealed that targeting weight loss alone never gave him lasting results.

“This is the problem that everybody targets weight loss. That’s what I also did in the past 5 years. I lost 30 kg not only once but twice because I targeted weight loss, and that always will make you fail. Why do you want to lose weight? Just to become thin? It doesn’t mean you’re going to be healthy if you’re thin. There are a lot of fat people who are healthier than thin people. This time I changed my entire mindset, and now I want to be the healthiest version of myself for the rest of my years. So it has nothing to do with weight loss because health and overall fitness are so big that weight is just one small step,” he shared.

Ekta Kapoor’s dig
While Ram’s health journey is inspiring many, a surprising twist came when producer Ekta Kapoor shared a video on Instagram that seemed to take a subtle dig at the actor’s weight loss. In the clip, Ekta said, “What do I do? I have gained a lot of weight. Should I do an anti-inflammatory diet? Mounjaro and Ozempic? All of the above? Zip my mouth? Ya chod du (or should I leave it)?” She ended the video with the line, “Hume bade hi achhe lagte hain” (I look good the way I am). She captioned the post with “Ozempic ho jaye,” referencing the popular weight loss medication. The post quickly gained attention, and many online users wondered if it was aimed at Ram’s transformation.

Gautami Kapoor claps back with wit
Not one to stay silent, Ram’s wife, Gautami Kapoor, joined the conversation with a cheeky reply. In a video shared on her Instagram, Gautami mimicked Ekta’s tone and words, playfully turning them around. With a clear nod to ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain,’ she said, “Kyunki humein bade nahi chote he acche lagte hain.” (We prefer it small, not large.). Her post appeared to be a light-hearted comeback, showing support for her husband.
