College life has long been a stage for wild ideas, midnight adventures, and the kind of creativity only the youth can plan and enjoy. Students try to sneak out of hostels post curfew timings through ‘innovative’ ways to outsmart rules and the designated authorities. But due to the advent of the trend of social media, these incidents no longer remain a topic of conversation over chai, instead get spilled online almost immediately.
While some of these plans may seem harmless or even hilarious at first glance, they also raise insecurities about boundaries and the extent to which college rules should bend or stand firm.
One such incident has recently taken place that turned an ordinary day at a popular University into a trending topic across social media.
The incident can be only described as a truly "peak hostel behavior" moment as a student at OP Jindal Global University in Sonipat was recently caught attempting to sneak a girl, believed to be his girlfriend into the boys’ hostel by hiding her inside a large suitcase.
According to various reports available online, this was caught on video by another student and has since gone viral on social media. The video has got a flurry of memes, reactions, and comments. The clip shows security guards stopping the student at the hostel entrance and unzipping a suspiciously bulky suitcase, who finds a young woman tightly curled up inside.
While how the series of events took place remains unclear, some reports suggest the girl may have accidentally made a sound or screamed while being wheeled in, alerting the guards. It’s still not confirmed whether the girl is also a student at the university or from outside. OP Jindal Global University has yet to release an official statement. However, no valid verification of the video has been done so far.
Amid this, the user filled the comment section of the video with hilarious responses. One user sarcastically praised the effort, “Quite a smart move but the poor guy got caught .” Another said, “Jindal is really living up to the ‘OP’ in its name.” Others commented how “rules often breed innovation, albeit not always successfully.”
While some users appreciated the student’s plan, others said that this incident would live as a suitcase folklore in Jindal’s unofficial history books.
However, the incident also generated conversations about hostel rules, student behavior, and how far some are willing to go for love or just some time alone. Questions were raised about how the suitcase got so far without prior checks, and whether disciplinary action would follow.
