'Tumbbad' re-release: Netizens feel the Sohum Shah starrer is finally getting its due

Anil Barve’s directorial ‘Tumbbad’ starring Sohum Shah was re-released in theatres on Friday, September 13. The horror fantasy is set in a village called Tumbbad in Maharashtra. The film centers around the evils of human greed. Originally released in 2018, the film, however, started to gain popularity after its theatrical release. It now has a cult following and is regarded as one of the best horror films made in India. As ‘Tumbbad’ has re-released, the fans of the film are going gaga.

A movie buff noted that the theatrical experience of the film is ‘incredible’, “#Tumbbad theater experience is incredible. You notice the subtle sound design that might have been missed on OTT. The background score is fantastic, and the jump scares are even more effective.”
