After a promising start at the box office, Sunny Deol’s latest release Jatt has witnessed a significant drop in its collections during the second week. The film, which opened to solid number of Rs 61.6 crore in its first week, saw its earnings dip by nearly 70% in its second week, adding Rs 19.04 crore to its tally. With this, the film’s two-week total now stands at Rs 80.6 crore.
Jatt, which marked Deol’s return to the big screen after the massive success of Gadar 2, was expected to hold stronger ground in its second week. However, a steady decline was noted in the daily collections post its second Friday. The film earned Rs 4 crore on Day 9 (2nd Friday), registering a 3.61% drop from the previous day. This was followed by a slight dip on its second Saturday with Rs 3.75 crore, down by 6.25%.
A marginal recovery came on the second Sunday as collections climbed to Rs 5 crore, showing a 33.33% growth. However, the weekday numbers were underwhelming. Monday’s earnings dropped sharply by 63% to Rs1.85 crore, followed by Rs1.9 crore on Tuesday with a modest 2.70% rise. Wednesday collections further fell to Rs1.35 crore, down by 28.95%, while Thursday brought in an estimated Rs1.19 crore, recording an 11.85% decline.
The sharp fall in collections indicates that Jatt couldn’t maintain its momentum beyond the initial wave of footfalls, largely driven by Deol’s star power and the nostalgia of his previous blockbuster. The film faced tough competition from newer releases like Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday’s Kesari 2 which went on to earn Rs 46 crore in the first week severely impacting Jaat’s chances.
Despite the drop, Jatt’s two-week total of Rs80.6 crore places it among the better-performing Bollywood films of 2025 and the second biggest hit of Sunny Deol’s career after Gadar 2.However, the film will need a steady third weekend to inch closer to the Rs100 crore mark — a figure that seemed within easy reach during its opening week.
