Scarlett Johanson’s response to the highly publicized Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni lawsuit drama came as a surprise for everyone involved. Scarlett who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds spoke about the incident during her latest interview as a cover star for Vanity Star. The ‘Marvel’ star has never met Baldoni and her only link to him is the Wayfarer Studios, cofounded by Baldoni, a prominent backer in her new work and directorial debut, ‘Eleanor the Great.’
Scarlett Johansson on the lawsuit being delivered at ‘such a weird timing’ :While promoting her directorial debut, ‘Eleanor the Great’ , which is being produced by Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios , on an interview with Vanity Fair, Scarlett Johansson addressed her views on the on-going legal battles between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.
As she is not directly involved in the whole thing, she kept her comments restricted to the studio’s involvement. Johansson described the controversy as “weird timing” and said that, “They were super supportive throughout the process,” she said of the production studio, which also backed the 2024 film “It Ends With Us.” Later, she noted, “But yeah, such weird timing.”
The feud began when Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her — allegations that Baldoni denied. He then responded with a $400 million countersuit against the famous actor and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
The legal drama has drawn in other big names, including Taylor Swift, who is contesting a subpoena to testify.
Johansson was previously married to Blake’s now-husband, Ryan Reynolds. Her upcoming film, “Eleanor the Great” will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 on May 20 and will release in theaters later this year.
