‘Shaktiman’ fame star Mukesh Khanna has always been known to share his unfiltered opinions. He is one of the straight shooters in the industry who never hesitates in keeping the rawest statements. He doesn’t even hold back when slamming someone if he feels offended, and his controversy with comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma is a perfect example of the same.

Mukesh Khanna and Kapil Sharma controversy
Mukesh Khanna’s not-so-warm encounter with Kapil is known to everyone, and recalling the same in a recent Uncensored with Shardul podcast, the actor mentioned how the ‘naya naya paida hua’ (loosely translated to - new to the industry person) didn’t bother to greet him. He clarified that he got offended by the sheer lack of basic courtesy.

“I was mentioning to someone the reason I do not like Kapil Sharma and why I refused to go on his show, and that story should serve as an eye-opener to everyone to understand how the film industry really works,” said Mukesh Khanna.

He recalled that at an award function, he was being presented with an honour and, “Kapil Sharma, who was naya naya paida hua (new to the industry) and was doing Comedy Circus, was also being awarded.”

“He came and sat beside me and did not even acknowledge me; he sat there for around 20 minutes, and once his name came up, he took the award and went home," said the actor.

“Kapil Sharma did not have any courtesy,” Mukesh Khanna
He then mentioned how other stars have been completely courteous and warm towards him during random encounters. “I have met Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan) so many times on flights. I was coming back from London, and so was he. We did not know each other, but he knew that both of us are actors, so we talked,” said Mukesh.

“Hrithik Roshan and I were standing at the airport, and he met me and told me, ‘At this point, there are two superheroes standing at this airport.’ Even though you have never met someone, you give them such a big compliment, and that is our industry, our fraternity. Kapil Sharma did not have any courtesy," he concluded.
