Deewar gave me the audacity to stand for what I truly believe in, says Adil Hussain.
He shares,"Films like Deewar, Shakti, Zanjeer, and other such films of Bachchan saheb from that time when I grew up sort of gave us the confidence to stand up against those who were superior to us. These films gave us the belief that one can stand up for something they truly believe in.
Deewar gave me the audacity to do so. Watching Bachchan saheb act in a way I had never seen before - his voice, his speech, and the commanding screen presence he had - was something that was not seen until then. It seemed, in the film, that when he stood, he took over the world.
Deewar had a narrative that spoke of accusations, grudges - that we all have against something. Craft-wise, it is done very well."
