NAGPUR: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) carried out a mock exercise at Nagpur Airport on Thursday, May 8, 2025, following Operation Sindoor , which was carried out by the Indian Armed Forces inside mainland Pakistan and in PoK in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
The exercise was conducted amid heightened security measures at all Indian airports.
The exercise involved CISF's QRT team, alongside their personnel and officers. Upon activation of the siren, airport staff were directed to evacuate and assemble at a designated location. During the exercise, CISF officers briefed airport staff about safety protocols to be followed during hostile situations or military conflicts.
The drill was part of nationwide security measures implemented after the Ministry of Home Affairs instructed all states and union territories to evaluate their preparedness against new and complex threats.
