YAVATMAL: Three workers were killed and two others sustained injuries when a massive steel storage container for pulses collapsed upon them while working at a mill in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district, police officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The catastrophic incident occurred at Manorma Jain Dal Mill within the MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) precinct in Yavatmal on Tuesday evening.
The storage structure suddenly gave way, crashing down upon five labourers, according to a police spokesperson.
Two of the deceased workers hailed from Madhya Pradesh whilst the third victim was from Wardha district in Maharashtra.
The two injured workers are presently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
