Kanpur: Three persons riding a motorcycle were killed when a fast-moving dumper crashed into their vehicle. The collision took place near Farhadpur village along the Ajgain-Mohaan road in Unnao district. Upon receiving information, law enforcement officials reached the location, secured the bodies and commenced their enquiry. Rangita (30), who resides in Ohrapur Kaudiya village under Ajgain Kotwali, visited Farhatpur Hospital with her brother-in-law Gaurav (24) to obtain medication for her daughter Aakriti (2).
The accident occurred while they were heading back home after collecting the medicine when an empty dumper, travelling at high speed from the Mohaan direction, struck them. The driver deserted the dumper and absconded from the scene. The police launched an investigation and are attempting to locate the driver. SP Deepak Bhuker said investigations are underway to trace the whereabouts of the dumper driver.
