Suryavanshi achieved his explosive century in just 35 deliveries, smashing 11 sixes and seven fours, marking the second-fastest hundred in IPL history. His innings of 101 from 37 balls established him as the youngest centurion in men's T20 cricket .

Chris Gayle holds the IPL's fastest century record, reaching the milestone in 30 balls whilst playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Pune Warriors in April 2013.

By scoring his century in 35 balls, Suryavanshi set a new Indian record in the IPL, surpassing Yusuf Pathan's previous mark of 37 balls, achieved for RR against Mumbai Indians in 2010.

His remarkable innings occurred against Gujarat Titans, the IPL 2022 champions, who had established a target of 210 for Rajasthan Royals.

This season has witnessed other notable performances, including Punjab Kings' Priyansh Arya scoring a century in 39 balls against Chennai Super Kings, while Sunrisers Hyderabad's Abhishek Sharma reached his hundred in 40 balls against PBKS.
