At this time, the moon will be in its full glory, complete with all 16 of its phases. Leave the kheer under the moonlight for the entire night and consume it in the morning. Sharad Purnima Puja Vidhi 2024After taking a bath, wear clean and fresh clothes. Clean the northeast corner of your home and place a red cloth on a platform (chowki). Install pictures or idols of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Chandra (Moon God). For the puja, gather offerings like rice grains (Akshat), Ganga water, incense (Dhoop), a lamp (Deepak), camphor (Kapoor), flowers, betel nuts (Supari), and betel leaves (Paan leaves).Next, bathe the idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu with milk and Ganga water. The deities are then offered Naivedya, which is followed by offering them Aarti. Kheer is offered to goddess Lakshmi as a part of the ritual. The moon god is worshipped by offering jal, rice and phool (flowers). The kheer is placed under the moonlight. The kheer is distributed as prasad the next day. Don't forget to consume the prasad.
