President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday nominated Fox News host and Army veteran Pete Hegseth to serve as his defense secretary. The 44-year-old was an infantry captain in the Army National Guard and served overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He is a co-host of Fox News Channel's 'Fox & Friends Weekend.' Hegseth is married to television producer Jennifer Cunningham Rauchet. They tied the knot in 2019. Hegseth was previously married to Meredith Schwarz from 2004 to 2009. He married Samantha Deering in 2010 and they got divorced in 2017. Hegseth and Deering share three children: Gunner, Bonne, and Rex. Hegseth and Rauchet had an extramarital relationship while he was married to Deering. Rauchet welcomed their daughter in August 2017. They got married in 2019. Hegseth is a father to Rauchet's three children from her first marriage - Kenzie, Jackson, and Luke.

Who Is Jennifer Cunningham Rauchet?Born on January 30, 1985, Jennifer Cunningham Rauchet is a television producer. She has a degree in journalism from Towson University in Maryland. She began her career in 2001 at WPIX-TV. She joined Fox News in 2006, where she worked with Hegseth at Fox & Friends. She also served as a producer for Watters' World and an executive producer for Fox Nation. She left Fox News a few months ago to focus on her children. Rauchet has three children from her first marriage. She and Hegseth welcomed their daughter, Gwen, in August 2017. The two got married on Gwen's second birthday in 2019.Sharing a photo of Hegseth and their kids on Instagram on the occasion of Father's Day in 2022, Rauchet wrote, "He’s just a dad that does it all. Basketball coach, magnatile designer, Trampoline mad bouncer, Steak master, army guy, RV repairman and best seller… no wonder he’s tired! Happy Fathers Day."
