Musheer Khan's Neck Fracture Confirmed By MCA In Critical Health Update

The cricket world was taken aback when the news of young batsman Musheer Khan's tragic accident came to light early on Saturday. Musheer was on his way to Lucknow with his father and coach Naushad Khan for the Irani Cup match when his car met with an accident. It has now been learned that the batter has suffered a neck fracture and will miss the Irani Cup match against Rest Of India. Mumbai Cricket Association secretary (MCA) Abhay Hadap provided a critical update on Musheer's health and confirmed that the batter has suffered a neck fracture. Abhay revealed that Musheer is stable and conscious but under observation."Musheer Khan, 19-year-old top-order batter and left-arm spinner met with a road accident on Friday while travelling with his family from Azamgarh to Lucknow to participate in Irani Cup, scheduled from 1st to 5th Oct. Musheer is currently admitted to a hospital in Lucknow, where he remains stable, conscious, and well-oriented. He has sustained a fracture in the neck region and is under close observation," he said in a statement.

Musheer Khan To Be Flown To Mumbai SoonThe MCA secretary further revealed that Musheer is being closely monitored by the MCA medical teams and ensured best possible care for the young India batter. He added that Musheer will be flown to Mumbai for further evaluation and medical treatment as soon as he becomes fit to travel."The BCCI and Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) medical teams are closely monitoring his progress to ensure he receives the best possible care. Once Musheer is deemed medically fit for travel, he will be flown to Mumbai for further evaluation and additional medical treatment. The timeline for his recovery will be determined following these assessments, " the statement read.Meanwhile, Musheer and Sarfaraz Khan's father Naushad also suffered minor injuries. As per a report in Hindustan Times, the doctors are awaiting scan reports to confirm if Naushad too has a neck fracture."The doctors are waiting for scan reports to confirm whether he has suffered a fracture in his neck region and the extent of it,” said an official at the hospital who didn’t wish to be identified.Musheer had a stunning return to the Mumbai side in the Ranji Trophy and scored a double hundred in the first game. He also scored a brilliant hundred in the second innings of the Ranji final against Vidarbha to help Mumbai win the 42nd title. Musheer has amassed 716 runs in nine first-class matches, averaging over 50, with three centuries and a half-century.
