Excerpts from the interview How are you bringing in your birthday and what do birthdays mean to you? With my mother (the legendary Hema Malini) and my daughters Radhya and Miraya in our house in Chennai this year with family. Birthdays are always a very pure and divine day it’s a new year a new beginning. So I love to surround myself with my loved ones and feel all things love. What are your childhood memories of birthdays and which is your most memorable birthday so far? My birthdays as a child were all the things we 80’s kids did back then from musical chairs to magic shows, cakes of our favourite characters like Bugs Bunny and strawberry shortcake. We always had a theme party. ALSO READ: So beautiful birthday memories? Mine were always filled with my school friends and family and yes our mornings would start with a havan followed by a yummy South Indian lunch which I follow even now. Do Dharamji and Hemaji make it a point to be in town on your birthday? Yes always. I believe they are my everything and I am because of them, so even if they were on outdoor shoots I would travel there and my birthday would be celebrated with both of them. I make it a point to be with them on my birthdays. If you had to change anything in your life so far, what would it be? Honestly nothing. God always has a plan and I have the faith that he will be guiding me through this beautiful journey called life. What do you remember about your debut film Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe? Everything is in detail. That first film is always special to every artist I feel. I remember all the bts moments like a movie itself. Especially the wonderful interactions with legends like Jaya Aunty and Srideviji. You have done films with both your parents. Do you enjoy being on the screen with them? Yes, that was a dream come true. Every moment on and off screen was special. What are the kinds of roles that you are looking for at this stage of your career? I’m looking forward to variety. I like variety in my roles. Having recently done action in Hunter, and am currently shooting for Vikram Bhatt’s courtroom drama. So comedy is something I’m missing doing and am really on the lookout for a good comic cracker. I love what I do and am thankful for the opportunities coming my way in my second innings. You may also like
