Aurra Bhatnagar is playing the role of Aadhya in Rupali Ganguly-starrer Anupamaa. The show is reportedly taking a leap of 10–15 years and all the actors except Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna are expected to leave the show. Talking about Aurra, she is just 13 and her mother, Deepti Bhatnagar Badoni, is not ready to allow her daughter to portray a romantic role in the show.
Aurra Bhatnagar will quit Anupamaa if… Aurra Bhatnagar’s mother, Deepti said in a recent interview that her daughter will not look like 23 if the show takes a leap. She told ETimes TV, “In the show, too, she is essaying the role of a 13-year-old. If the show takes a 10-year leap, she will become 23 and she doesn't look 23. It is possible to make her look 20 in a salwar suit and make-up but she will be expected to do romantic roles and she is too young for it. She is only 13 and doesn't even understand romance. She does not have any guy friends, as she does not go to school. She studies at home because after 11 am she goes to shoot on the Anupama set. So, I would not want her to grow older in the show and portray romantic roles.” Her mother also clarified that Aurra’s character in Barrister Babu was very innocent and it didn’t require any romantic angles. She was not playing a mature wife in the show. Deepti Bhatnagar Badoni clarified that it is not yet confirmed if Anupamaa will take a leap. But if it does, Aurra will not be a part of the show.
