GTA 6 fans are a couple of weeks away from finding out new information about the game.

With remaining tight-lipped about and its release date, the news will seemingly come from an industry insider with a good track record when it comes to leaks.

Speaking on the Insider Gaming podcast, Tom Henderson promised to share a "well researched story" about 6's online component in the next couple of weeks.

"Speaking of stories and GTA 6, I do have a well-researched story coming out in the next couple of weeks about GTA 6 and the online component," Henderson told listeners on the Insider Gaming podcast.

The comments (which take place at the 1:19.00) were preceded by speculation about when Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive will potentially share new details.

If Rockstar Games is planning to delay the game past 2025, then shareholders will have to be notified sooner rather than later, as sales forecasts will need to be updated.

With the promise of a GTA 6 Online story and the Take-Two Interactive earnings call, the next few weeks should prove interesting for Grand Theft Auto fans.

As it stands, Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will take place in the state of Leonida, which is based on Florida.

Rockstar explains: "Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet."

The previously released trailer gives fans a look some of the map locations as seen from the skies above. This includes locations based on the Florida Keys, as well as Miami beach and more.

The trailer also hints at a , which will up the scale to never-before-seen levels.
