Kynance Cove, located on the Lizard Peninsula, has been ranked among the top 50 beaches on the planet by . Coming in at number 48, it sits between in Cuba and in Aruba. With its crystal-clear turquoise waters and powdery white sand, the Cornish cove has earned comparisons to beaches in the Caribbean.
Travel experts who compiled described Kynance as a place of "rugged beauty" and praised its "shade of turquoise usually seen in the Caribbean".
The beach's sheltered location protects it from strong winds, and its steep access path means it rarely feels overcrowded, even during peak season.
At low tide, visitors can also explore hidden caves and small islands.
According to , the cove is also popular among geologists, with the unique serpentinite rock formations having formed millions of years ago from the Earth's mantle.
There's also plenty of history here. Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and poet Alfred Tennyson were all said to have visited the beach.

Walkers along the South West Coast Path are treated to views of the cove from above as the trail winds its way towards Lizard Point, the most southerly point on the British mainland.
The geological history is just as fascinating. Two types of serpentinite are found here - bastite, with large crystals and tremolite, a finer type that forms the sea stacks and islands in the bay.
These include recognisable features like Asparagus Island, Gull Rock and Steeple Rock.
There is also one quirky feature known as the Devil's Bellows, which can be heard snorting at half tide. This is because of a blowhole created by the sea carving through faults in the rock.
Another, called the Post Office, is said to have so much suction you could post a letter through it.
The beach has over 1,600 five-star reviews on Tripadvisor, with one visitor calling it "the most beautiful piece of nature I've seen."
Others recommend timing your visit for low tide and wearing sturdy shoes for the walk down.
Swimming is possible during the warmer months, although it's advised not to go far out and to stay in pairs for safety.
There's also a small café nearby with panoramic views over the cove.
