The beautiful sandy stretch which is accompanied by "crystal blue waters" featured on TripAdvisor's list Best of Best Beaches, as part of the travel company's Traveller's Choice Awards, which selects destinations based on reviews and opinions over a 12-month period.
, is located in the seaside town of Tropea which sits on the west coast of the Calabria region in . The resort is renowned for its picturesque coastline that offers mesmerising views. The Catherdral of Maria Santissima di Romania, also known as the Cathedral of Tropea is described by as "one of Calabria's most fascinating places of worship" by the region's tourism board.
The bascilia-shaped landmark was built in 1163, has been remodelled several times over the centuries and then was completely restored in the twentieth-century. Today, it is home to a beautiful collections of art including a marble high relief of the .
