"It's a steep approach to a pebble beach with fisherman's boats and gear making a picturesque setting against the high white cliffs that surround the cove of Beer."
When you approach the village of Beer from the South West Coast Path, it feels like you've found something that no one else has. It's a place that seems frozen in time - and locals say that's how they want it to stay, Devon Live reports.
Devon Live calls the town a "time warp" and says the area is very quiet for most of the year. Locals say the village "hasn't changed", it reports.
The lesser-known spot outperformed many of its more famous rivals on the Which list.
Tucked between white chalk cliffs, Beer is a working fishing village with a long history and plenty of charm.
