The Paris Masters has reached the quarter-final stage and yet again a week-long Masters 1000 tournament has provided an incredible amount of excitement.
None more so at Bercy when top seed was defeated in three sets by home favourite Ugo Humbert. The Frenchman won 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 to book his place in the quarter-finals .
Hubert had complained that he was not given preference after feeling that he should have been on Centre Court for his second-round match, but showed what fans were missing by blistering past the reigning and champion.
Humbert set up a clash with Australian star Jordan Thompson and will feel confident of reaching the final four in the French capital.
