star has issued a family update after she opened up about the struggles they have been facing at Ravenseat Farm. On Monday (April 21), the 50-year-old author took to Instagram share a selection of family photographs from the Easter holiday.

The mum-of-nine gave fans an insight into her weekend activities which included an easter egg hunt across their sprawling 2,0000-acre farm. The doting mum shared a snap of her daughters with their shirts full of chocolate easter eggs accompanied by their sheepdog Penny. She captioned the post: "Some time out & Easter treats for the farmy army ([paws emoji] Penny too [paws emoji])."

It didn't take long before fans flooded to X - formerly known as Twitter - to shower the family with well wishes online. One user penned: "Lovely pictures, especially of you Amanda [smiling emoji]" as another echoed: "Great photos looking as lovely as ever with your family and dog [dog emoji, paw emoji]."

A third chimed in with: "The love in the dogs face looking at you [two heart emojis]." A fourth added: "You look beautiful [heart emoji] those little eggs in the ground look super cute too [heart-eyes emoji]."

It comes after her ex-husband Clive revealed the farm has been struggling during the gruelling lambing season which has been exacerbated by extreme weather.

A devastated snowstorm swept over the farm and obliterated any grass, leaving their sheep with nothing to eat. Clive lamented: "Winters are long enough without them dragging into May."

Braving the outdoors to tend his flock, Clive described the conditions: "It's been kind in some respects as it's been very dry, but it's been very cold.

"It has been really, really hard for us, down to minus six and seven at night, but lovely days, so it's been pleasant enough to work in, but no grass." Acknowledging the vital needs of his livestock, he continued: "Sheep rely on grass, so we will go and feed them."

Speaking to the camera, Clive added: "It's not exactly summer yet. It's been a tough lambing time, without a doubt. It's been a hard month." He also touched on the harsh climate conditions, explaining: "The icy air at times, you can feel it coming from the East, and so it'll be nice when it's over."

During the same episode, Amanda made a heartbreaking discovery after finding a dead lamb. With dread in her voice, the shepherdess said: "Oh no. Here, look, I can see something, and it's not good."

Delving into the reality of farming life, Amanda commented: "Sometimes you get mysteries, and sometimes you get an answer, and sometimes you don't, but that's your answer. This poor little newborn lamb," to which her daughter Clemmie responded: "That's sad, isn't it, mum?"
