
All lanes have reopened on the M60 after emergency services rushed to incident that prompted the closure of one lane.
The incident took place on the clockwise carriageway between Junctions 22 and 21. It was first reported at around 6pm.
Among the emergency services in attendance were paramedics and firefighters. Pictures from the scene also showed police vehicles.
A teenage boy fell into a manhole and sustained "non life-threatening injuries", according to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS).
The fire service used rope rescue equipment and a stretcher to safely bring the teen down the embankment.
