Britain's Got Talent viewers were left puzzled after a disappointing update regarding Teddy Magic.
The popular talent show returned to our screens on Saturday night (May 3) for the second live semi-final of the series, with eight more acts vying for a spot in the grand final.
The line-up included magician Alexandra Burgio, dance troupe Cheer re Mans, magician-dancer Jannick Holste, vocalist John Pierce, dance group Lil M's, guitarist Olly Pearson, singer Stacey Leadbeatter and impressionist Will Burns.
However, as the show kicked off, hosts Ant and Dec failed to provide an update on young magician Teddy Magic, who had been unable to perform the previous week, reports .
During the first semi-final, Dec announced a "little change of plan", with Ant confirming that Teddy wasn't ready backstage.
After a brief discussion with the judges, the hosts assured viewers they would return to Teddy's act later in the show.
As the episode drew to a close, Dec then revealed that Teddy wouldn't be performing that night, stating: "[Teddy] won't be performing tonight but we hope to see him later on in the series."
It was anticipated that Teddy might appear in another semi-final, but it was confirmed earlier this week that he wasn't part of tonight's line-up.
During tonight's live show, BGT viewers quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their confusion over the lack of updates about the young magician. One viewer queried: "No Teddy Magic tonight again? What's going on?"
"Bring back Teddy Magic!" another added, while a third noted: "Another Teddy no show."

"All I want to know is Teddy okay after last week live show drama?" a fourth fan said, while another similarly shared: "I love teddy magic he is not on the semi finals 2nd week where is he guys???"
A sixth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: "Well this is not going much better than last week as the first act didn't get on till 10 minutes in, and they still haven't told us what's going with Teddy Magic at least not really!"
In other news from tonight's episode, Simon Cowell was handed control of the golden buzzer, granting him the power to send an act directly through to the final.
Last week's semi-final saw dance troupe The Blackouts receive Amanda Holden's golden buzzer, while Scottish singer Vinnie McKee earned the highest number of public votes.
