The Daily Show host Jon Stewart has told "boy king" Donald Trump to "go f*** yourself" live on TV - after his former co-star Stephen Colbert did the same. Live on his Comedy Central programme, Stewart launched into a satirical song which contained the lyrics: "Go f*** yourself! Wait wait wait, bring it down, let's bring it down, a little bit quiet... f***, f***, f*** yourself, just go f*** yourself! Everybody!" - while surrounded by a full gospel choir.
In his prior monologue, Stewart took aim at the "fragile and vengeful" Trump and accused CBS of attempting to censor itself in order to keep the peace with the US president. He said: "Last week, as you may have heard, CBS - which happens to have the same parent company as the network this programme currently airs on - unceremoniously cancelled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
The move was greeted by vicious booing from the crowd, which Jon said he'd "allow in this case", before admitting: "Obviously I am certainly not the most objective to comment on this matter, you may or may not know Stephen and I used to work together on this very programme, together through 1999 through 2005."
Jon continued: "[The Late Show has] been on the air for over three decades, and it's part of what's making everybody wonder - was this purely financial? Or maybe the path of least resistance for your $8billion merger.

"Would killing a show that you know rankled a fragile and vengeful president, so insecure, suffering terribly from a case of chronic penis insufficiency... It's a vicious disease! I believe CBS lost the benefit of the doubt two weeks prior when they sold out their flagship news programme to pay an extortion fee to said president!"
He went on: "Shows that say something, shows that take a stand, shows that are unafraid... and believe me, this is not a 'We speak truth to power'. We don't. We speak opinions to television cameras. But we try, we f***ing try every night.
"And if you believe as corporations or as networks that you can make yourselves so innocuous that you can serve a gruel so flavourless that you will never again be on the boy king's radar, a) why will anyone watch you, and [b] you are f***ing wrong."
