drove the fear of hell into contestants as they vied with each other to be in with a chance of getting hired by the billionaire businessman. They dreaded hearing Trump's TV trademark which would end their time on the show: 'You're fired'.

The long-running show came to an end in 2017 after 13 years on the airwaves where the US president worked with his co-stars George H. Ross and Carolyn Kepcher. More than eight years on, the businessman is now in his second term in the Oval Office as the 45th and 47th President of the United States. Now, some of the contestants from the fourteen seasons led by Trump have revealed exactly what they thought of the controversial entrepreneur.

One of the quotes Trump is most notorious for is the infamous one which saw him claim he was such a celebrity that he could get away with "grabbing [women] by the p***y". But what is the politician like behind the scenes?

Jenn Hoffman, a contestant from series six, mused: "People say Trump is a misogynist - and who knows, maybe he is - but he's definitely not afraid to be surrounded by some badass women. Well, as long as they're badass and attractive."

Bill Pruitt, a five-time Emmy Award winning former producer of the Apprentice, who spent many days filming with Trump, seems to agree. He recalled how image-conscious Trump seemed to be, alleging that he once ordered a female camera operator off an elevator as she tried to film him for the show, warning that she seemed "too heavy".

Another camera operator, on the other hand, met with his approval as she reminded him of his daughter Ivanka. Pruitt revealed in magazine that he recalled him singling her out from a line of ten and declaring: "There's a beautiful woman behind that camera. That's all I want to look at."

However, Tyana Alvarado of season seven, dismissed these claims. She argued: "I know that's something people try to make sexist, but all men, all men think like that. They just don't say it out loud, you know? Trump does."

Female attitudes towards Trump generally seem to vary hugely. Series three candidate Angie McKnight was scathing, referring to him as a "repulsive and awful caricature" and a "condescending, dismissive... playground bully".

She told : "When he fired me, it was awful. It was a horrifying experience. He repeatedly called me a loser and said, 'You choked, admit it,' and badgered and badgered and badgered me. It was really nasty and unnecessary,"

However, Heidi Bressler told the same publication: "Does he get a little bit harsh sometimes? He does. Yes, he can be a little bit brash, but it's refreshing! I know he's going get the job done, he's not going to bulls*** you."

Jenn Hoffman added that many women, including herself, were attracted to his sense of "confidence and power", while Erin Elmore declared he was an "amazing mentor" and a "breath of fresh air in a stale, broken system".
