Charles Leclerc has announced that he and his partner Alexandra Saint Mleux are now engaged. Leclerc, 28, and Saint Mleux, 24, have been in a relationship since 2023 but confirmed in a post on Instagram on Sunday that they are taking their romance to the next level.
The Ferrari driver posted a series of photos, showing him and long-term girlfriend Saint Mleux embracing and kissing. Alongside their beloved pet dachshund Leo, a regular visitor to the F1 paddock and excited to be involved in the photoshoot, Leclerc added a simple caption, revealing that he now has a fiancee.
"Mr. & Mrs. Leclerc [ring emoji and three red love heart emojis]," he wrote. Leclerc didn't share any further details, including the date of proposal and when the wedding is going to take place.
However, one photo showed a dog collar with the words "Dad wants to marry you!", suggesting that the proposal may have been a joint-effort between the F1 ace and Leo. More photos showed further celebrations between the pair, with one including a collection of cakes and an inscribed 'dog bone' that said "She said yes!"
Saint Mleux, a French-born social media influencer, was first spotted in the background of a video of Leclerc at the Paris Fashion Week in March 2023. They then appeared at the Wimbledon tennis tournament four months later.

Leclerc's engagement announcement got more than 3.6 million likes within the first four hours, while the couple received a plethora of supportive message from people inside and outside the F1 world. McLaren's Oscar Piastri wrote: "Congrats!", while Leclerc's former teammate, Carlos Sainz, writing "Yesssss!"
Leclerc is now poised to be one of three F1 drivers who have tied the knot, with only Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez married on the grid for the 2026 season. Some, such as Fernando Alonso and Valtteri Bottas, have been previously married, while most of the current grid are currently in serious relationships, including Landro Norris and Max Verstappen.
Leclerc's 2025 F1 season has been a mixed one so far. He is fifth in the Drivers' Standings on 210 points from 20 races, finishing in the top 10 on 17 occasions and on the podium seven times. He is 48 points behind Mercedes speedster George Russell in fourth, 111 off third-place Verstappen, 146 adrift of Piastri and 147 away from leader Norris heading into the final four races.
