
made its eagerly awaited return to screens last month with its beloved cast, including Barbara Flynn, who stars as Anne Lloyd. She appears in the murder mystery as Martha's (played by Sally Bretton) mother, who, in the latest episode, finds a suspicious mole on her back in .
However, unbeknownst to most viewers, Flynn is acting royalty having got her start in the industry in the 1970s on 's A Family at War. Throughout her career, the actress also landed in the universe and under different Time Lords. She made her debut in 2007 in The Eighth Doctor Adventures, a spin-off from the original series, in which Lloyd voiced Croc Trooper in The Skull of Sobek.
The 76-year-old then starred in Doctor Who's 2021 TV series as the villainous Tecteun, who wanted to destroy the universe and eventually abducted the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker).
During this iteration, Flynn appeared in two episodes, including Once Upon Time and Survivors of the Flux.
The following year, the actress then returned to the iconic franchise's audio series in the episode Secrets of Telos and voiced Professor Vansom.
Flynn previously opened up about her she spends her downtime away from her successful career with a surprising hobby.
During an appearance on This Morning with her on-screen daughter Bretton, Flynn revealed that she has a jewellery business.
Presenter Dermot O'Leary probed: "Cornwall, what a great place. I mean, Barbara, you do some Cornish craft, don't you? Some jewellery?"
She shared: "I did spend a lot of time going down to West Penwith, which is the first bump of England, up to Penzance and all that. Really rocky, beautiful, bleak, wonderful. [The business] started as a hobby and then turned into a business. And the first (show) designer was very sweet and said,' Come on, Barbara, let's use it.'"
