expert Catherine Southon ended up pushing Mark Stacey after he criticised her purchases

The duo started their day in Aberdeen, journeying through Cullen and before ending up at an auction in Elgin, Moray. However, the trip was not without its fair share of drama. Upon revealing her finds, Catherine was met with harsh criticism from her co-star.

"I don't know what to say... so you bought a load of model railway books, you bought a pen... I didn't like it. And, a reproduction fan," Mark quipped.

He added: "For £172 you should be ashamed of yourself. For that amount of money you could have done so well."

Taken aback by his comments, Catherine playfully pushed him away and when he attempted to embrace her, she retorted: "Get your hands off!"

Both later addressed the disagreement individually, speaking directly to the camera. Catherine appeared hurt as she questioned: "Wasn't he horrid?

"I don't think that was very nice at all. He wasn't complimentary about any of my items. He said, 'He thought I should be ashamed of myself', which was a bit of a cutting remark."

Mark, on the other hand, showed no signs of remorse, telling viewers: "I think she's a bit mad at me because I wasn't overly enthusiastic about some of the items she bought. But, I'm not sorry."

Despite Mark's lack of enthusiasm for her items, it was Catherine who emerged victorious when their finds went under the hammer.

It comes after upon discovering the astonishing amount of money a World War One periscope fetched at auction.

During an auction segment on the One programme, the auctioneer announced: "I've got lots of interest on this WW1 antique."

"At £220, looking for £240 on the phone," he added. "£240, £260 is with me, £280. £300 is with me."

As the bidding war escalated, Catherine could hardly believe her eyes. "I can't believe this," she confessed to the cameras.
