Jaipur: President Droupadi Murmu addressed the Global Summit on "Spirituality for a Clean and Healthy Society," organized by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya in Mount Abu on Friday. She opened her speech with the chant "Om Shanti," emphasizing that spirituality is about understanding the inner self and maintaining purity in thoughts and actions.

"Spirituality is not confined to religion; it involves recognizing the power within us and promoting purity in our behavior," she said. She highlighted that a positive mindset can help individuals become better people, stating, "Spirituality provides a unique perspective on the world and serves as a means to bring about positive change in society."

In her speech, President Murmu addressed the decline of moral values, underscoring the importance of peace and unity. She remarked that the summit would pave new paths toward global peace and contribute to a cleaner and healthier world. "Humans should view themselves as caretakers, not owners, of the Earth," she added, urging everyone to treat the planet with care.

The President also pointed out that spirituality supports sustainable development and social justice. She praised government efforts to promote organic farming, asserting that healthy eating leads to healthy minds, referring to the saying, "jaisa ann, vaisa mann" (as is the food, so is the mind).

Several dignitaries attended the summit, including Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade, Cabinet Minister Joraram Kumawat, Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg, and Brahma Kumaris Chief Dadi Ratan Mohini. This visit marks President Murmu's second trip to Abu Road since taking office. The summit will run until October 7, aiming to promote messages of cleanliness and health within society.
