Delhi Mahila Samridhi Yojana: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that we are working on a foolproof policy to implement the Mahila Samridhi Yojana. It will be provided very soon.

Delhi Mahila Samridhi Yojana News: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday said her government is working on a plan to implement the Mahila Samridhi Yojana and will soon provide Rs 2,500 per month to eligible women in the city. Rekha Gupta said the problem is that no new ration cards were issued in Delhi in the last 12-14 years, which is why no new beneficiaries could be added to any welfare scheme.

The CM said that our intention is to implement this scheme in a foolproof manner, so that eligible people who do not have ration cards can also take advantage of it. He said that we are working on a foolproof policy to implement the scheme. It will be provided very soon. Before the assembly elections in February this year, the BJP had promised that if it was elected, it would give Rs 2,500 every month to women from economically weaker sections.

Speaking at the 'Express Adda' event organised by the Indian Express, the CM said that his government has already sanctioned Rs 5,100 crore for the implementation of the scheme in its Budget 2025-26.

150 new electric buses will be flagged off

He said that by the end of this year, the fleet of electric buses will reach around 2,000, while it will take 1-1.5 years to convert the entire public transport bus fleet to electric.

The CM said that BJP has come to power in Delhi after 27 years. We are not only completing the pending works of those 27 years, but are also preparing for the next 27 years, so that BJP serves the people in such a way that it remains in power for 50 years.
