Piers Morgan publicly appealed for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to knock out Jake Paul after he furiously stormed out of an interview. The YouTuber turned boxer is set to take on the Mexican this weekend in a mouth-watering showdown.
And as part of the promotion of the fight, Paul appeared alongside Morgan on his programme Piers Morgan Uncensored wearing a sombrero. But the interview did not go as planned.
Morgan accused Paul of picking potentially more favourable opponents during his boxing career so far. He said: “I think you're a great YouTuber, a great influencer.
“I admire what you try to do boxing, but I do think when you actually come up against a proper, serious boxer, and I suspect that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, maybe that person you, it could all come crashing down.”
And that accusation appeared to rile Paul up as he fired back: “I think the problem here Piers, is that you think that your opinion matters?” That also triggered a brutal response from Morgan as he simply asked why he was doing the show if his opinion did not matter.

Paul replied: “Oh, I'm just taking your audience to sell pay per views. I don't give a f**k about your show, dumb a**. This is a f*****g business enterprise. Buy the pay per view on Saturday, June 28, me versus Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Thank you, tune in everybody!”
He then angrily hung up the phone, exiting the interview in the process, with Morgan then saying: “Cheers Jake, really enjoyed that, and good luck to Julio - knock him out for all of us will you?”
And while Morgan’s feelings on the upcoming fight are very clear, it appears that Paul has a plan in place to avoid a knock-out, while also downing his opponent in the process. Asked for a prediction in Thursday’s press conference, he said: "I'm gonna knock him out,"

In response, However, Chavez Jr added: "No, I was expecting that from him. It's the only way for him to get attention. I am ready."
