Netflix has recently unveiled its five-part political thriller, Hostage, featuring Suranne Jones of Gentleman Jack fame, who made a surprising revelation about the show, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The series centres around Jones' character, British premier Abigail Dalton, who finds herself in a terrifying predicament when terrorists kidnap her husband and demand her resignation in exchange for his freedom.

Dalton is faced with an impossible decision between her loyalty to her nation and her family, all while entertaining the French president and attempting to solve a significant NHS drug supply chain problem.

The concept for the show was developed by playwright and Oscar-nominated writer Matt Charman, with Jones also serving as an executive producer.

Let's take a look at the cast of this new Netflix drama and where you might recognise them from.
