has revealed that her hit song Bang Bang now 'haunts her' 11 years on from its 2014 release. The song, which features Jessie, and peaked at number one in the Official Charts for nine weeks in the UK.
During a private acoustic concert at London venue Ronnie Scott's on Tuesday, Jessie performed the song solo, admitting while introducing it: "Here's Bang Bang, it haunts me, but here you go".
The song was previously embroiled in drama when Jessie claimed that Nicki had asked to be on the single, with the latter hitting back that she didn't 'ask' to be on the song.
Jessie told Glamour in 2021: " Nicki was it in the studio and was like, 'I've got to jump on this'. We didn't go to her and ask; she wanted to do it."

Nicki later called Jessie out on X, then , by writing: "Babe @JessieJ I didn't hear the song & ask 2get on it. The label asked me2get on it & paid me," she clarified. "How would I have heard the song? chiiille what am I the damn song monitor? Snoopin around for songs chile? This was said by another artist recently as well. Yallgotta stop LoveU."
Jessie later issued a public apology to Nicki and clarified that she was told by her label that is what had happened. During Tuesday's private performance, Jessie also shared that the song almost never made it out as a record.
"In 2014, Katy told me they didn't like me, and said Bang Bang wouldn't get a seat at the table with the label," sang Jessie while performing an unreleased song, appearing to refer to fellow A-list singer .
In the small crowd was Jessie’s boyfriend of four years Chanan Colman, whom she shares son Sky with. While there’s few mentions of motherhood, Jessie is clearly glowing as she glances over at her partner throughout the set.
And during the show, Jessie even addressed her two-year romance with actor Channing Tatum in a rare moment. Of the relationship, which ended in 2020, Jessie sang: “In 2018, I met a Magic Mike… and will that ever be forgotten?”
The pair never spoke out on why the relationship ended, but at the time, a source told The Sun: "The split was amicable and they’re still in contact. They’re spending time apart and are open to meeting new people."
Now, Jessie is gearing up to release a new album for the first time in seven years, admitting it feels like a 'full circle' moment.
Jessie J’s new track ‘No Secrets’ is coming later this month
