Steph Miligan in has sparked concern with her plans to have plastic surgery, but is actress Georgia Jay leaving the soap?

With Steph adamant that she will have appearance-altering surgery on her face, stating she wants a nose job and a brow lift with other surgeries likely also planned, viewers are questioning whether this means the role will be recast. Fans have seen the troubled character trying to go ahead with the surgery, and on Wednesday she brought one of those booked procedures forward.

If Steph does go through with some, especially all, of the surgeries then obviously her face will look different. This has left viewers questioning whether a recast is on the way, and whether current actress Georgia is leaving the soap.

It's yet to be revealed whether Steph goes through with the planned procedures amid her turmoil, with her parents desperate to stop her. They managed to thwart her nose job during Wednesday's episode leaving her furious.

She made it clear she had not changed her mind and would have the planned surgery as soon as she could, whether they liked it or not. She was then heard on the phone booking another appointment with another clinic, confirming she was booked in for a brow lift.

We've seen Steph struggling with her appearance for weeks, after she learned the heartbreaking truth about her parentage. Steph found out her biological father was her grandfather Anthony Fox, and that Anthony had raped her mother when she was a teenager.

Ever since she learned of what really happened, she's struggled to look at herself in the mirror without seeing Anthony's face. Calling herself "disgusting" and "a freak" Steph is desperate to change her appearance, convinced she looks like Anthony.

While her parents have urged her to get the help she needs, telling her her trauma will take time to heal from, Steph believes the only way to move forward, or to at least start recovering, is to change her face and the way she looks. She began looking into facial surgery clinics, and wants to change her whole appearance.

But if the soap does move ahead with the heartbreaking storyline, will it mean an exit for actress Georgia and the role being recast? Georgia recently appeared to address the future of the storyline and her future on the show.

The star commented on Steph needing to rebuild, and needing to hit rock bottom before she can start to get better. This would suggest Steph and Georgia are going nowhere, and that perhaps the surgery does not happen but spoilers have yet to reveal what happens next, only that she begins a recovery.

Viewers were left concerned though after seeing Steph's desperation, questioning if a recast would see Steph go ahead with the surgery. One fan commented: "Could Steph be returning with a new face?"

Another viewer questioned: "Is Steph about to be recast?" as a third said: "Are they going to recast Steph if she has plastic surgery?"
