'Friend dropped me as bridesmaid 24 hours before wedding, so I got best revenge'

Imagine going through all the wedding planning, bridezilla-style meltdowns, and wedding dress shoppingwith someone who you thought was your bestie, only to be brutally ditched from the wedding party the day before? That's exactly what happened to one woman who was left heartbrokenwhen the woman she thought was her ride-or-die told her, due to "planning issues," she could no longer be her bridesmaid.

Katie, who posted the debacle on X, wrote: "24 hours before I was supposed to be a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding, she told me I'm no longer in the bridal party due to planning issues (lies), so I skipped the wedding entirely, went to the desert for a hike, and I am cutting her off. Thank u, next!"

In another cruel and shocking twist, the bridesmaid also shared she was told by the bride the bridesmaids would be in blue.

Because of this, she got a stunning blue dress, only to find out that the bride had actually chosen a different colour for the bridal party.

She revealed all the bridesmaids were wearing brown, so if she turned up, she would've stuck out like a sore thumb in the photographs - despite the fact she looked stunning.

Katie also penned: "I even flew all the way to Vegas from Georgia and then drove to Utah (and I've been unemployed for almost a year now, so that was so expensive for me!!!)"

She highlighted the fact that the only dress she'd taken was the blue one as well, because she believed the rest of the bridesmaids would be coordinated with her.

People were so glad she'd got revenge by cutting her off, and "doing something for" herself, rather than attempting to go to the wedding and put a plaster on their friendship, hoping it would continue.

One woman asked: "Why are people so weird?". Someone else fumed: "That’s horrible, but sounds like you’re the winner here! She will have her karma- trash takes itself out, every time!"

Another added: "What the heck that’s horrible! I'm so sorry, but you dodged a bullet and she’ll regret it".

Katie responded to all the love on her post, writing: "WOW, I was not expecting this huge of a response to this!! THANK YOU all for making me feel better about this s***** situation. I flew from Georgia to Las Vegas and then drove to Utah for the wedding. I'm now back in Vegas, enjoying my time in a cabana. Positive vibes only here!"
