BREAKING: Love Island star Harrison Solomon at centre of explosive storyline quits in tears

Love Island star Harrison Solomon has reportedly quit the series after being involved in a tense love triangle. The Miami-based Derby contestant has been conflicted between choosing Las Vegas icon Toni Laites and Casa Amor star Lauren Wood while leaving them both in tears over his inability to pick between the two gorgeous girls.

However, it looks like the decision no longer needs to be made as the star has reportedly left the Spanish villa on Thursday night, with a source claiming he "decided to quit" after struggling over the last few days: "Everyone was so shocked and people were crying and hugging him."

"He worked through everything with the ITV duty of care team and is making his way home to his family now," it was claimed to The Sun.

It comes as viewers watched as the contestants ranked the others based on questions provided to them by the general public. Questions included, 'Which couple is coasting?', 'Who is the biggest game player?' and 'Who is in the most one-sided relationship?'

Unsurprisingly, Harrison and Toni, Dejon Williams and Meg Moore and Harry Cooksley and Helena Ford were seen in the top three in most of the categories. Meanwhile, Harrison asked Toni ahead of the recent recoupling to choose him even though he slept with Lauren the night before.

In the end, she did choose him, leaving Cach Mercer and Lauren tearing up over their decision. "That was one of the most embarrassing things I’ve been through in my entire life… You knew what decision you wanted to make, you were just waiting for the go ahead from someone else," he told Toni.

"I can’t respect that. Good luck with your endeavours," he said as he was seen walking away after giving her a hug.

He was later seen catching up with Ty on the terrace, as he broke down in tears as he became overwhelmed with emotion. In an emotional moment, Ty was seen wiping Cach's tears, as he admitted he was embarrassed.

Toni's decision to pick Harrison confused viewers at home as Toni previously said she was done with Harrison.

"He's all yours, girlfriend. I'm removing myself from this," she told Lauren. “This is getting f**king ridiculous and it's making me nasty. He's lying to both of us. I can't keep doing this.”
