Big Brother star becomes first 2025 housemate to be evicted by public after weather chaos

Big Brother has evicted the first star by public vote from the 2025 series. Fans at home were asked to vote to save either 39-year-old pizza shop manager Gani or 25-year-old personal trainer Zelah ahead of tonight's live eviction.

However, presenter AJ Odudu revealed that Gani had received the fewest votes with co-host Will Best running over to the Big Brother house to collect him. It wasn't your usual live eviction, with the show was moved to the Late & Live set due to safety concerns over Storm Amy.

Instead of leaving the house to screaming crowds, Gani faced a backdoor exit - with Will escorting him to the Late & Live studio for his final interview. When asked how he felt about being evicted, Gani said: "I was like, 'What?' He went onto say that the public didn't save him as they "didn't get to see much more about me probably".

Gani is the second person to leave the Big Brother house this series with political events manager Emily, 25, being booted from the house in the second episode after a major twist. On Monday night, Emily was given a backdoor eviction after being voted by Caroline and Gani to leave in a brutal game.

Speaking about his friendships in the house, Gani gushed about Caroline, saying: "The first person I saw. I come from India, we are quite reserved and we play according to the age. I found her so inspiring and I loved her straight away, the way she walked in - she's my girl."

The live eviction was moved indoors due to Storm Amy, which was predicted to bring winds of 100mph across the UK throughout Friday and Saturday. A source told The Mirror earlier today: "The eviction will instead take place on the Late & Live set. It was strictly due to safety over the weather conditions."

A Big Brother spokesperson said: "Due to bad weather and as a precautionary measure, tonight's live eviction will take place in the Big Brother: Late & Live studio with no outside broadcast. The health and safety of everyone remains our highest priority."

Big Brother returns on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
