Remind that on May 8, the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match was declared canceled due to security reasons.
Matches will be held in 4 cities
According to a report published in Sports Tak, IPL 2025 is going to be held again from next week. 4 cities can be selected to organize the remaining matches in the tournament. BCCI has informed all the teams and partners regarding the resumption of the tournament.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has ordered all the teams to call back all the foreign players and support staff as soon as possible. The LSG team can gather together by May 13, while other teams are also going to gather and reach the venue of the next matches.
Changed playoff venue
Change in the venue of the playoffs is possible. Before the tournament was suspended, Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches were to be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. At the same time, Qualifier 2 and the final match were to be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Now according to the latest update, there will be no change in the venue of both the qualifier and eliminator matches, but the final can be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad instead of Kolkata.
It is also worth noting that all the players of other teams except Punjab Kings have returned to their homes. PBKS head coach Ricky Ponting played a big role in convincing the Punjab Kings players to stay in India.
