The investigation has revealed that the woman was married to a man named Hemant, but due to a dispute between the husband and wife, Mahalakshmi started living separately. She was living on rent for the last five months. It has been found that she had become close to a man named Ashraf, but the police have questioned both Hemant and Ashraf in this regard. The police initially feel that both are not the murderers. Now a third anonymous person is also on the police radar, who may have committed this murder. By the way, the police have not yet given a clean chit to Hemant and Ashraf.

How did the matter come to light?

This case came to light on 21 September, when a foul smell emanated from the room in Bengaluru. Mahalakshmi was living alone in a rented house in Vyalikaval area. The people living nearby called the owner of the house. When the family members reached and got the room door opened, everyone was shocked because small pieces of the body were scattered all around the room along with blood. When checked, the body was found cut into different parts and kept inside the fridge.

What did Mahalakshmi's mother and sister tell?

After interrogation, Mahalakshmi's mother and sister told that the family lived in Nepal till the year 2019. In the same year, Mahalakshmi got married to a Nepali boy named Hemant Das. After marriage, both of them reached Bangalore from Nepal. Here Hemant started working at a mobile shop, while Mahalakshmi got a job as a sales woman team leader in a beauty shop of a big mall. Both of them started living in a rented house in Neela Mangala area of Bengaluru.

The two had a daughter. Everything was fine in their life until the year 2023. Later, her husband came to know about Mahalakshmi's affair. After this, the two separated. The daughter lives with Hemant Das, while Mahalakshmi was living alone in a rented house in Vyalikaval area for five months. She used to go to Hemant's house to meet her daughter once in 15 days.

The police have also checked his call detail record. The last call from his phone was made on 2 September.
