Mumbai: The house help, who worked at the Lokhandwala residence of singer Jaggi Sandhu's manager, has been booked for stealing gold worth Rs2.77 lakh. In his complaint, Sandhu's manager Suyash Nima, 29, said that he hired the accused, Rani, on May 11.
According to the FIR, the ornaments were last seen by Nima's wife on May 26 and they couldn't be found two days later. In this period, nobody apart from Rani entered the residence, said the complainant, raising suspicion on her.
The Oshiwara police have booked the woman under section 306 (theft by a servant) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
