Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Three masked miscreants brutally attacked two sadhus with iron rods and sticks in Gwalior's Ashram on Friday. They fled with ₹50,000 cash, valuables, and a car.
According to reports, during the preparation for Guru Purnima, Baba Shivanand Giri of Juna Akhara Mauj Giri Ashram Prayagraj and his companion Satishanand Giri were injured in the attack at Vankhandi Ashram located on Shivpuri Link Road.

His companion Satishanand Giri also suffered a head injury and a fractured hand. Both the sadhus were rushed to hospital and are now under medical care.
Police is investigating the matter. Ghatigaon police station sub-inspector Sughar Singh assured that the attackers will soon be in police custody.
The attackers allegedly robbed both the sage's trolley bag, which had 50,000 rupees in cash, a laptop and two mobile phones. They also looted Hyundai Aura car.

One of the assailants reportedly did not cover his face, and Baba Shivanand Giri has stated he would be able to recognize him if presented before him.
