To promote Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s ideology of 'Ekatma Manav Darshan' (integral Humanism), the state will celebrate a four-day event, which will also spread the philosophy of Antyodaya or uplifting the most marginalised.
To be held between April 22 and 25, 'Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ekatma Manav Darshan Hirak Mahotsav' will ensure the benefits of development reach the last person in society. As part of the programme, one lakh booklets based on Panditji’s thoughts and the philosophy of integral humanism will be distributed in every district. The Mahotsav will also focus on skill development in rural areas, cleanliness drives, and cultural and educational events.
The departments of women and child development, school education, rural development, cultural affairs, tribal development, environment and tourism will play a key role in shaping the initiative.
Cabinet minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, who is leading the event, has directed all departments and district administrations to work in close coordination to ensure the grand success of Mahotsav. A high-level planning meeting was held at the Mantralaya in the office of chief secretary Sujata Saunik, with district collectors participating via video conferencing.
Lodha emphasised that Maharashtra is the first state in India to come up with such an event. He highlighted the state's commitment to integrate Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s “human-centric philosophy into public policy and grassroots governance”.
