Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh):A case of power theft at Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University came to light after some videos of the incident went viral on Thursday.
When the officials of the Power Distribution Company probed the case, a massive power theft surfaced. The university has been illegally using power sources, the power company said, adding that a fine will be imposed on the university after an inquiry.
According to reports, as soon as the videos went viral, a team from the Power Distribution Company reached the university. When the team inspected the site, they found wires were illegally joined with the main line for getting power for the national service cell.

The team found that wires had been connected with the main power line, he said. He said a fine would be imposed after an inspection of the building. On an earlier occasion, there were reports of electricity theft in the university, sources said.
When the power company came to know of it, they imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakh on the university.
